Warrant Search Leads To Arrest Of Accused Long Island Drug Dealer

A 33-year-old suspected drug dealer on Long Island is behind bars after a lengthy investigation led to his arrest.

State Police arrested Brian J. Crook of Freeport on Friday, Aug. 9 as part of an ongoing 10-month investigation into cocaine trafficking in the area. 

A search warrant was executed at Crook's residence, and troopers seized cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and illegal firearms, including handguns and assault rifles, according to state police. Troopers also recovered high capacity magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and cash, said police.

Crook was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, a Class A-II felony, and criminal possession of a weapon, a Class D felony.

Crook is being held pending arraignment at Nassau County First District Court.
